Our 2014 Tour continues on, and we can’t believe we’re into March already! Nantwich SOLD OUT, Milton Keynes SOLD OUT, Reading SOLD OUT, Banbury SOLD OUT! A massive thanks to all of you who turned out in such force to our shows last month.
Whilst we’re handing out ‘thank you’ gongs, one of the biggest must go to Dave ‘Shirt’ Nicholls, a sound engineer the likes of whom don’t come any better. Shirt, after finishing a lengthy tenure with none other than SLIPKNOT, and being between tours with AVENGED SEVENFOLD, unbelievably agreed to help us out for a couple of weeks on his downtime (yet another benefit of having Superstar Lee Morris on our firm, friend of the rich & famous). AND… if that wasn’t enough, his best mate is Big Mick Hughes the METALLICA sound engineer, who popped in at a couple of shows to cast his eye over proceedings. What a proper ‘busman’s holiday’ it must have been for two of the most experienced soundmen in the business, but most definitely our gain! Many thanks for all their expert help, and also for advice on Lee’s new drum mic setup – more on that to follow…
Shirt, Mick and Lee survey the kick drum…
And, lest we forget, a welcome return to our long serving (and suffering) roadie JTB who has been off sick for a few months. Expect to see him firing off pyro, twerking and generally weaving his magic with the backdrop at a show near you soon…
We must also thank Mr Matt Tuckey for his help with our sell-out show at South Street in Reading. Not only helping JTB with the heavy stuff (amps, not narcotics!!) and supplying Wayne’s Lucozade rider for the evening. Cheers Matt, always good to see you!
On a sad note we had to bid a fond farewell to Doon, the in-house sound engineer from the Half Moon in Putney. He mixed the sound at all of our early shows down there, and always came over to say ‘Hi’ and have a chat whenever we were playing. His long term friend and colleague Ralph Mc Tell wrote this fitting tribute to him…
SKIPTON TOWN HALL
We’ve just been informed by the venue that some renovation work will be taking place on this grand old listed building. Rest assured that this will not affect the performance in any way. But it WILL affect the capacity on the night, meaning that this will become more of a first-come-first served affair for tickets. The solution? Book ‘em online early, of course!
STOP PRESS – STOKE SELLS OUT. A MONTH IN ADVANCE!
Baddeley Green in Stoke on 4th April has now SOLD OUT! For those of you now turning to us for tickets, so sorry, unfortunately there’s nothing we can do. But we will be looking to put another show in around the Potteries asap…
Return of the Macc…Yes, we’re back at the fantastic Cabin 5150 in Macclesfield on the 10th April. We were knocked out with the venue and the staff when we did our debut show there last year. Please come and support this new venue, which is programming some great acts, and has real musos/music fans running it!
University challenge… We have had so many requests to return to Cambridge we have booked a show in at the Portland Arms on the 30th April. This is a new venue for us, so make sure you get your tickets, and keep us returning to this beautiful city. We have had so many good times there from early gigs at the Boat Race to more recent shows at the Junction, so we really hope this one will be banged out!
We’re goin’ Sarfbound… Here at Limehouse HQ we have a complaints folder. It is brimming with letters claiming that we don’t play down south enough! Well, let us explain, we do not have any regional bias (being a caring-sharing, equal opportunities tribute act). We have a load of southern shows coming up, and in fact have just added the Beacon Court in Gillingham on the 1st May. Look forward to seeing you there, this area is renowned for its live music scene, so get yourselves along!
Also check out other dates we have just added, Festival Drayton Centre in Shropshire on 29th May, and back at the Garage in Swansea on 30th May!
Our full gig list follows below, with tour dates down to the end of July, so check ‘em out!! Links are included (where possible) for ticket sales and Facebook events. See you out there…
