Saw 2014 in at the Picturdrome in Holmfirth after a rousing NYE show with the Guns & Roses Experience! Then a short break before we hit the road and got stuck into the first of our January shows…
Great start at the Customs House in South Shields, with all the tech crew working at full stretch to get the auditorium ready after their festive season, then across the north of England for a return to the Brickyard in Carlisle.
Next up was the Courtyard in Hereford, a marvellous turnout and a truly rocking crowd, we will be back next year! We had a mad night back at the Arts Centre in Pontardawe, possibly the most riotous crowd yet – South Wales never lets us down!!
Lastly we hit the City Hall in Salisbury, a much easier journey than last year when the whole area fell foul of the big freeze and we were battling through the snow. Awesome night, and we look forward to seeing some of you at the Brook in Southampton on the 21st March…
Last week we took on the magnificent City Hall in Sheffield, a cold and rainy night but the crowd were superb, and we have to thank our special guest sound engineer, Dave Nicholls (aka ‘Shirt’), who does front of house sound for Slipknot, Avenged Sevenfold and Thin Lizzy, amongst others! He’ll be doing our sound for the next two weeks, before he heads off on tour to Australia!
We also have to say a big thank you to Steve, Dave and all the crew over at Mickleton Hall. Best crowd we have had down there, and they really looked after us as always! Nothing could top the meal we had at the Crown pub – band and crew unable to move afterwards. Great special guest on the night too. Please check out Anna Leigh Stainton if you get the chance, here’s her YouTube song which is from her forthcoming album (and also her Glastonbury audition!):-
We’re back in Workington on the 15th March when we play the newly refurbished Monroes. They have spent £220K on the band room, so come on down and check it out! The band sends its best wishes to Paul Sherwin, who has run the venue since 1981, but has now retired. We worked with Paul for many years, all the best mate…
After the sad demise of the Railway in Ipswich, we have booked a new gig for us at Venue 77. We had a lot of requests to return to Ipswich, and enquiries about the future of the Railway, well it has now closed down so PLEASE support the live scene in your area. Venues need your support!
We hope to see you out on the road, tour dates follow below, and go down to the beginning of June, so don’t forget to put ’em in your diary! Some of these will sell out so we have included ticket links where possible. There are also Facebook events for forthcoming shows so that you can hook up with your online friends, share lifts, buy each other pints etc. (after you’ve bought the band one first obviously…)
