We want to sneak in a belated “happy new year” greeting to you all before the month end because what a cracking start you’ve given us! Great turnout at our first gigs of 2013, first at our trusty North East standby, the O2 Newcastle (riotous as always!), and then a new gig for us at the Brickyard in Carlisle which, despite our desperate attempts to blow the place up with our pyro (Julian ‘KABOOM – oopstheregoestheleccy’ Bell, at your service…) has hopefully established itself as our totally rocktastic new home there.
Then…of course, the weather turned (boo!) but we still made all the gigs (hurrah!) and, given the frankly RANK conditions, the turnouts were overwhelming! To the dedicated gig goers of Hertford (Corn Exchange), Maidstone (the Hazlitt Theatre) and Salisbury (City Hall), we cannot thank you enough for lending such fantastic support to make these shows happen. And these were closely followed by two SOLD OUT shows in Bideford, and Stoney Stanton. It’s like we’ve always said – Lizzy fans are simply the best…and hardest (‘who are yer, who are yer…”…erm, yes, anyway, that’s something else!).
We’re always striving to add new gigs to the roster, as we have done for this coming spring, so we’re excited about catching up with you all at a few of these.
Whilst not a newbie, we do have another show at the legendary Platform in Morecambe on 1st March.
The Library Theatre in Darwen Lancashire IS a new venue for us, and our first show there is on 7th March. We’ve had some cracking nights in the Blackburn/Preston area, so come on down, especially if you’re missing our annual Bolton Albert Halls shindig – why, you could almost walk it from there!
Another new venue is Lucy’s Bar in Cannock. We’re down there on 8th March. Newly launched, Phillip the gaffer and his crew are running a fully equipped live venue, and putting on some fantastic live music, so come check it out!
Lastly, we return to an old favourite that’s taking on a new lease of life, The Railway Venue in Ipswich on 15th March. The owners have big plans for this place, and have really kicked into gear sorting out the venue and putting on the likes of Nazareth, Skid Row, and, of course, US!
All of our tour dates down to the end of May follow below. More dates are being added all the time, so please keep checking the website. Don’t forget to click on the ‘event’ and RSVP if you’re coming to a show!
